In a recent meeting between Dr Amar Patnaik MP, Rajya Sabha and the National Spokesperson of Biju Janta Dal (Odhisa) and Mr Prabhjot Singh, Founder, Foodkars, the duo discussed about the hidden gems of Food, Culture, and Tourism in Odisha.

The land which is endowed with a vast variety of natural resources and a myriad assortment of food, culture, and tourism, Odisha is emerging as a much sought-after tourist destination in India.
While the land is blessed with a lot of natural beauty, the credit for the accelerating tourism industry in Odisha also goes to the one & only Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Naveen Patnaik and other pioneering leaders of the state including Dr Amar Patnaik MP, Rajya Sabha and the National Spokesperson of Biju Janta Dal (Odisha).
An eminent Indian politician and a public intellectual, Dr Patnaik has served as an Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer and the former Principal Accountant General (PAG) of Sikkim, Odisha, West Bengal, and Kerala, before joining the Biju Janta Dal in Odisha. Ever since then, he has contributed indispensably towards the rural sector as well as the tourism industry in Odisha.
He has taken an array of noteworthy initiatives to ensure rural development in the state, thereby decreasing the gap between the rural and urban parts of Odisha. From promoting digital literacy, Odia identity rooted in its ancient art, culture, handloom & handicrafts & temple architecture to upskilling the women and youth of the state, Dr Patnaik has left no stone unturned in making Odisha one of the most sought-after destinations in the country.
However, his contributions are not only limited to the rural parts of the state. He has also taken various measures to boost domestic tourism in the state by speaking about new tourist destinations as well as preserving and maintaining the hidden gems of the state.
In a recent bonding over coffee at his residence with Mr Prabhjot Singh, Founder, Foodkars, Dr Patnaik discussed about the vibrant scope of expanding and exploring the food, culture, and tourism industry of Odisha, and explored lucrative ways of collaboration.
“Dr Amar Patnaik is a very humble, down-to-earth, and knowledgeable leader. It was my pleasure to meet him and talk about the hidden gems of food, culture, and tourism in Odisha. He discussed about the tourisms marvels that Odisha has in store and also talked about the future and scope of the state’s tourism industry in the years to come,” shared Singh who further informed that he and his team at Foodkars have been invited by Dr Patnaik to uncover the hidden gems of Odisha’s tourism industry.
“Dr Patnaik was very kind to invite me and my team to Odisha to feature its beauty on our blog, Foodkars. I and my team are super elated to go and explore this beautiful state. I’m affirmative that with leaders like Dr Patnaik, the tourism industry in Odisha will continue to grow steadily in the years to come,” concluded Mr Singh.

ଜଣେ ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ଭାରତୀୟ ରାଜନେତା ତଥା ଜଣେ ସାର୍ବଜନୀନ ବୁଦ୍ଧିଜୀବୀ ଡକ୍ଟର ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ବିଜୁ ଜନତା ଦଳରେ ଯୋଗଦେବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଭାରତୀୟ ଅଡିଟ୍ ଆଣ୍ଡ ଆକାଉଣ୍ଟସ୍ ସର୍ଭିସ୍ (IA&AS) ଅଧିକାରୀ ତଥା ସିକ୍କିମ୍, ଓଡିଶା, ପଶ୍ଚିମବଙ୍ଗ ଏବଂ କେରଳର ପୂର୍ବତନ ପ୍ରିନ୍ସିପାଲ୍ ଆକାଉଣ୍ଟାଣ୍ଟ ଜେନେରାଲ୍ (PAG) ଭାବେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ସେବେଠାରୁ ସେ ଗ୍ରାମାଞ୍ଚଳ ତଥା ଓଡିଶାର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟନ ଶିଳ୍ପ ପ୍ରତି ଅତ୍ୟାବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଯୋଗଦାନ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ।
ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଗ୍ରାମୀଣ ବିକାଶକୁ ସୁନିଶ୍ଚିତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେ ଅନେକ ଉଲ୍ଲେଖନୀୟ ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ନେଇଛନ୍ତି, ଯାହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଓଡିଶାର ଗ୍ରାମାଞ୍ଚଳ ଏବଂ ସହରାଞ୍ଚଳ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବ୍ୟବଧାନ ହ୍ରାସ ପାଇଛି । ଡିଜିଟାଲ ସାକ୍ଷରତାକୁ ପ୍ରୋତ୍ସାହିତ କରିବା ଠାରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ଓଡ଼ିଆ ପରିଚୟ ଏହାର ପ୍ରାଚୀନ କଳା, ସଂସ୍କୃତି, ହସ୍ତତନ୍ତ, ହସ୍ତଶିଳ୍ପ ଏବଂ ମନ୍ଦିର ସ୍ଥାପତ୍ୟରେ ମୂଳୋତ୍ପାଟନ କରି ରାଜ୍ୟର ମହିଳା ଏବଂ ଯୁବକମାନଙ୍କର ଦକ୍ଷତା ବୃଦ୍ଧି କରିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଡକ୍ଟର ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ଓଡ଼ିଶାକୁ ଦେଶର ବହୁ ଚର୍ଚ୍ଚିତ ଗନ୍ତବ୍ୟସ୍ଥଳ ଭାବେ ପରିଣତ କରିବାରେ କୌଣସି ଉଦ୍ୟମ ଛାଡିନାହାଁନ୍ତି ।
ତଥାପି, ତାଙ୍କର ଅବଦାନ କେବଳ ରାଜ୍ୟର ଗ୍ରାମାଞ୍ଚଳରେ ସୀମିତ ନୁହେଁ । ସେ ରାଜ୍ୟର ଲୁକ୍କାୟିତ ରତ୍ନ ସଂରକ୍ଷଣ ତଥା ରକ୍ଷଣାବେକ୍ଷଣ ସହିତ ନୂତନ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟନ ସ୍ଥଳୀ ବିଷୟରେ କହି ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଘରୋଇ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟନକୁ ପ୍ରୋତ୍ସାହିତ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଅନେକ ପଦକ୍ଷେପ ନେଇଛନ୍ତି।
ନିକଟରେ ଫୁଡକର୍ସର ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠାତା ଶ୍ରୀ ପ୍ରଭଜୋତ ସିଂଙ୍କ ସହ ତାଙ୍କ ବାସଭବନରେ ଡକ୍ଟର ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ଓଡିଶାର ଖାଦ୍ୟ, ସଂସ୍କୃତି , ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟନ ଶିଳ୍ପର ବିସ୍ତାର ଏବଂ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନର ଜୀବନ୍ତ ପରିସର ବିଷୟରେ ଆଲୋଚନା କରିବା ସହ ସହଯୋଗର ଲାଭଜନକ ଉପାୟ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରିଥିଲେ।
“ଡକ୍ଟର ଅମର ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ଜଣେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ନମ୍ର ଏବଂ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ନେତା ଅଟନ୍ତି । ତାଙ୍କୁ ଭେଟି ଓଡିଶାର ଖାଦ୍ୟ, ସଂସ୍କୃତି ଏବଂ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟନର ଲୁକ୍କାୟିତ ରତ୍ନ ବିଷୟରେ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା କରିବା ମୋର ଆନନ୍ଦର ବିଷୟ ଥିଲା । ସେ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟନ ବିଷୟରେ ଆଲୋଚନା କରିଥିଲେ ଯାହା ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଭଣ୍ଡାରରେ ରହିଛି ଏବଂ ଆଗାମୀ ବର୍ଷରେ ରାଜ୍ୟର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟନ ଶିଳ୍ପର ଭବିଷ୍ୟତ ଏବଂ ପରିସର ବିଷୟରେ ମଧ୍ୟ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା କରିଛି ।” ସିଂ ଆହୁରି ମଧ୍ୟ ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ଯେ ଓଡିଶାର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟନ ଶିଳ୍ପର ଲୁକ୍କାୟିତ ରତ୍ନ ଉନ୍ମୋଚନ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କ ଦଳକୁ ଫୁଡକର୍ସରେ ଡକ୍ଟର ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିଛନ୍ତି।
ଡକ୍ଟର ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଦୟାଳୁ ଥିଲେ । ଆମ ବ୍ଲଗ ଫୁଡ଼କର୍ସରେ ଏହାର ସୌନ୍ଦର୍ଯ୍ୟକୁ ବୈଶିଷ୍ଟ୍ୟ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ସେ ମୋତେ ଏବଂ ମୋ ଦଳକୁ ଓଡ଼ିଶାକୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିଥିଲେ । ମୁଁ ଏବଂ ମୋ ଦଳ ଏହି ସୁନ୍ଦର ରାଜ୍ୟର ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରିବାକୁ ଯାଇ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଆନନ୍ଦିତ ଅଛୁ । ସର୍ବ ଶେଷରେ ଶ୍ରୀ ସିଂ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ନିଶ୍ଚିତ ଯେ ଡକ୍ଟର ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକଙ୍କ ଭଳି ନେତାଙ୍କ ସହ ଆଗାମୀ ବର୍ଷରେ ଓଡିଶାରେ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟନ ଶିଳ୍ପ କ୍ରମାଗତ ଭାବେ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଇବ।”
ଓଡିଶାର କେତେକ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟନ ସ୍ଥଳୀ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପୁରୀ, ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର, କୋଣାର୍କ, କଟକ, ବାରିପଦା, ଗୋପାଳପୁର ଏବଂ ଚାନ୍ଦିପୁର ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ ହୋଇଥିବାବେଳେ ଆମ ଦଳ ଖୁବ୍ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଏହି ସୁନ୍ଦର ରାଜ୍ୟର କିଛି ଅବିସ୍ମରଣୀୟ ଲୁକ୍କାୟିତ ରତ୍ନକୁ ଖୋଜିବେ ଏବଂ ସେୟାର କରିବେ । ଅଧିକ ଜାଣିବା ପାଇଁ ଆମ ସହ ଜଡିତ ରୁହନ୍ତୁ!
